The Leicestershire Brahma Samaj

The Leicestershire Brahma Samaj is a Leicester based organisation. During the 60's and the 70's few Brahmin families migrated to Leicester and decided to make their home. Thereafter to fulfil the missing needs of religious education, culture and above all the social contacts, few pioneer well wishing members of the community formed the organisation Samaj on 3rd Oct, 1970.

As years went by, it was felt that to serve the community in every respect without interruption, a permanent base was necessary. On the 20th of April 1977, a building on Belgrave Road was bought, at an auction by the hard working foresighted members of the Samaj. The Leicestershire Brahma Samaj was permanently established in the heart of Leicester, which is also the heart of England.
